Everything is designed with one simple goal: to bring a little creativity, colour and fun into everyday life.

Packages are usually delievered in 2-5 business days or 7-10 business days for interstate or remote areas. You will recieve confirmation via email when your order has been dispatched, including your tracking number or pick up instructions.

About Lisa
Hi there! I’m Lisa Joy Sawyer, the creator behind Joyful Little Sparks.
​
If you rearrange my initials, you get JLS: Joyful Little Sparks; and that’s exactly what I hope my designs bring to you: a little spark of joy.
​
My clay earring journey began in 2020 at a hens weekend, where I first tried my hand at polymer clay. I loved it so much that I bought my own supplies just before the pandemic shut everything down.
​
What began as a creative hobby slowly grew into something more. During maternity leave in 2023, sleepless nights and nap times gave me plenty of opportunities to create — and before long, I had more earrings than I knew what to do with! Seeing other people enjoy wearing my pieces gave me the confidence to turn that hobby into Joyful Little Sparks.
​
These days, JLS has grown beyond handmade earrings to include DIY clay earring kits and creative workshops, but the heart behind it is still the same: making beautiful, joyful things and encouraging others to enjoy creating too.
​
A little about me outside of JLS: I’m a Sydney-based mum to two beautiful boys and wife to Josh. As a family, we’re passionate about serving the Lord Jesus. I’m also a Speech Pathologist by trade.
​
Ultimately, I’m just an ordinary Christian, loved by an extraordinary God.
​

Care Instructions
Caring for your Clay Earrings​

Durability & Flexibility

Polymer clay is flexible and durable, but excessive force can cause breakage. Handle with care.

Avoid Water & Moisture

Keep earrings dry; remove before showering, swimming, or exercising.

Store Properly
-
Keep in a jewelry box or pouch to prevent scratches and dust buildup.

Avoid Harsh Chemicals
-
Keep away from perfumes, lotions, and cleaning agents to prevent damage.

Clean Gently
-
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth or a cotton swab with mild soap if needed. Tarnishes on metal components may be removed with a small amount of acetone on a Q-tip.

Avoid Extreme Temperatures
-
High heat or prolonged sun exposure may weaken or alter the shape of the clay.

In the unlikely case your earring stud backing falls off, reattach using jewellery or metal glue. My favourite is Locktite super glue. Bent studs or hooks can be gentlly shaped back in to place.

Caring for your Clay Cutters

Washing Cutters
-
Hand wash only in cool or lukewarm soapy water.

Do not place in the dishwasher or expose to very hot water, as heat can warp the cutters.

Removing Clay from Cutters
-
Use a soft brush or cloth to gently remove any clay residue.
-
Avoid harsh chemicals, solvents or abrasive cleaners.
-

Storing Cutters
-
Dry thoroughly before storing.
-
Store cutters flat in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat.
-
If clay becomes stuck in fine details, gently remove it with a soft brush or gently poke out the clay with your needle tool.

Avoid bending, twisting or placing heavy items on top of them.

Clay cutters are designed for polymer clay and craft use and are not intended for food.

Add-ons are a great way to expand your kit once you’ve caught the clay-making bug!

How I source the kit supplies
I’ve carefully selected the products included in JLS kits based on what I personally use and recommend for making polymer clay earrings.

Some components are sourced from a mix of Australian and international suppliers, allowing me to balance quality, availability and affordability. All cutters are designed and 3D printed using quality PLA in-house.
Tutorials & support
Your kit includes access to step-by-step guidance covering the basics of working with polymer clay.
The tutorials are designed to help you build confidence as you go, rather than expecting perfect results on your first try.

What will I be able to make?
Your kit gives you the foundations to create multiple pairs of earrings in your own colours, shapes and combinations.
Once you understand the basics, you can keep experimenting with new clay colours, cutters, textures and techniques.

Workshops & Creative Experiences
Joyful Little Sparks also offers hands-on polymer clay earring workshops for groups, community events and private gatherings for up to 120 people. Learn about event structure, pricing and inclusions here.

Workshops are relaxed, beginner-friendly and designed so everyone can create something beautiful without needing any previous clay experience.
​
Participants are guided through the process of designing, creating and assembling their own earrings, with plenty of room to experiment and make them their own.
